Transfer contents of recipe folder to prawnsandwich and make index.

Done. I backdated all the recipe folder entries, mostly to June last year.

Obviously I'm procrastinating something--grocery shopping, laundry, or possibly just the work I should have done this weekend (funny, my fingers just typed that "workend" before I realized what they were doing). The index is very basic, but it's done, as are all my favorite family recipes.

30 & 89

Feeling fragile after a bout of stomach ick, I figured this afternoon was a good time to compile a few lists. Done and done. I really need to pay my library fine so that I can use the library again.

Make a list of my 50 (?) favorite movies.

Make a list of 50 authors I really like and 50 authors I want to explore.

Buy D a new laptop.

Done. Ordered from Toshiba Tuesday night, arrived yesterday. Along with the laptop, we bought a 3-year service plan that means no matter what he does to it, Toshiba will fix or replace, even if it dies because he puts the whole thing in the oven or drops it in the lake or whatever. That was about a third of the cost of the laptop, but I'll eat my hat if he doesn't wind up taking advantage of it.

uh, yeah. two months later...

Buy a case of Portuguese wine.

mmmm. Quinta da Largoalva 1996. To drink soon, because it's nearing the end of its life, I think. Which maybe is why it was reasonably priced.

Grow my hair out. Cut 10-12" off and donate to Locks of Love.

Done. This didn't take as long as I thought it would. Adjusting to significantly shorter hair didn't take that long either. You'd think that going from hair halfway down my back to just barely chin-length would cut down my showertime considerably, but no, not so much. Somehow I manage to spend my usual 15+ minutes in there. I do use a lot less shampoo, though. I'll probably cut it even shorter in the next month or so, then start growing it out to donate again.
